بحيرة ساوة السحرية في العراق ... الموجودة في صحراء السماوة تعتبر من البحيرات العجيبة في العالم، حيث يلفها الغموض وتدور حولها العديد من القصص والاساطير , و توجد هذه البحيرة في الصحراء ولا تتصل بأي مجرى مائي، لها عمق سحيق يصل في بعض نقاطه الى 320 متر وتعتبر اعمق بحيرة في الشرق الاوسط ، تستمد مياهها من كهوف عميقة ولا يعرف احد مصدر هذه المياه حتى الان وهي مياه مالحة جدا بتركيز ملحي أكثر بمرتين ونصف عن الخليج العربي. بها نوعين فقط من الاسماك وهي اسماك هلامية عمياء تتميز بلون اسود وتذوب بحرارة الشمس , وهذه احد أسرار البحيرة لكون هذه الاسماك تعيش في البحيرة من غير غذاء لأنه لا يوجد أي اثر للحياة في البحيرة نباتيا أو حيوانيا . وحسب الدراسات التي أصدرتها بحوث الباحثين بان ساوه لا تشبه أية بحيرة او مصدر مائي آخر في تكوينها المائي والقاعي في العالم، وحتى في كمية ونسب العناصر الكيميائية والفيزيائية فيها تختلف عن مثيلاتها ويحيط بالبحيرة جرف صخري ، وتزورها سنويا الطيور المهاجرة من شمال ووسط اوربا

الحقيقة :
1- البحيرة ليست سحرية ولا يلتف حولها اي غموض
2- توجد في الصحراء وتستمد مياهها من المياه الجوفية والتي ترشحت اصلا من نهر الفرات
3- يتراوح عمق البحيرة من 4 الى 5 امتار، كأقصى حد
4- نسبة ملوحة مياه البحيرة اكثر بمرة ونصف من الخليج وليست بمرتين ونصف
5- هناك نوع واحد من الاسماك وليس نوعين، وهي من نوع (Arabian toothcarp ) وهو من جنس (Aphanius) يتصف بقصر طوله ( لايزيد عن عشرة سنتمرات) ومظهره الناعم وله عيون تختفي بسرعة بعد موت السمكة، كما تعيش في قعر البحيرة نوع من الحلزون من نوع (Pomatiopsis) يعيش في المياه المالحة
6- بالنسبة للحياة البرية؛ تزخر البحيرة بأنواع الطُيور المائية حيث تصل أنواع الطُيور الى 25 نوع ،أهمها البط، الغريري الأوراسي، الغطاس الصغير ،الهدهد العراقي، الخناق الرمادي
تعيش العديد من اللبائن في الحزام الصحراوي الذي يحيط بالبحيرة منها الثعالب، الضباع، غرير العسل بالإضافة الى أنواع من الزواحف أهمها ثعبان الماء

1 - The lake is not magical and there is no ambiguity wrapped around it.
2 - it’s found in the desert and derive its water from the groundwater that was originally from the Euphrates River
3- The depth of the lake ranges from 4 to 5 meters, to the maximum extent
4- The salinity of the lake is more than one and a half times the Gulf, not two and a half times
5 - There is one type of fish, not two species. It is an Arabian toothcarp, a type of Aphanius with a short length (no more than 10 cm), its soft appearance and eyes disappear quickly after the fish dies. And another Of the type (Pomatiopsis) lives in the salt water
6 - for wildlife; the lake is rich in types of water birds, where the species of birds reaches 25 species, the most important duck, Eurasian Greyhound, small diver, Iraqi Hoopoe, gray diphtheria
Many labyrinths live in the desert belt that surrounds the lake, including foxes, hyenas, honeygrass, as well as types of reptiles, most notably the water snake
