Note that the President of the Republic of Iraq (Abdul-Latif Jamal Rashid) has posted on his official Facebook page, after circulating the news of his illness, congratulations by the Jordanian King (Abdullah II) for assuming the position through a phone call that took place between them yesterday, Friday, November 14 First 2022.
The President of the Republic also shared a post on his page, where he stated:
"I extend my sincere thanks to the representatives of the honorable Iraqi people and all political forces; for giving me their confidence. I pledge to work hard to protect the constitution, the sovereignty of the country, and the interests of the people, and to be the president of all Iraqis without discrimination"
The Iraqi Council of Representatives decided to assign (Abdul-Latif) to take over the presidency of the Republic of Iraq on Thursday, 13 October.
