What is the truth about the video circulated as showing a doll used to mislead public opinion about the killing of Gaza’s children?

A post circulated on social media platforms: “This is not a child, this is a doll.”

The truth:

The attached claim is incorrect, as the clip was filmed by a young man named (Momen El Halabi) who shared it on his Instagram account on October 12, 2023. and it shows the moment of transporting Palestinian children affected by the Israeli bombing of Gaza City. He also shared several clips and photos that documented part of the conditions that the people of Gaza are suffering from.

In addition, both the (gettyimages) agency and the (afpforum) agency published other pictures of the same man who appeared in the clip carrying the child’s body, and the latter indicated that the pictures belonged to:

“People stand by the bodies of victims of Israeli air strikes outside the morgue of al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.” dated October 12, 2023.

"This photo was taken in Al-Shifa Hospital, near the morgue, where the victims were. The victims were taken out of the morgue so that their families could kiss them before taking them to the cemetery."

Adding:

"This is the body of a child who was killed in airstrikes. This is not a game."

Other footage was also found at the same place and date, which showed many of the victims' bodies placed on the ground in front of the forensic medicine office.
