What is the truth behind the post claiming that Palestinians burned a donkey alive?

Circulated on social media is a post accompanied by the text: "A donkey was painted with the Israeli flag and tortured, and another donkey carrying the Israeli flag was burned by Palestinians."

Clarification

The attached claim is misleading, and Palestinians did not burn the donkey alive as claimed.

The two images are from different events and times, as follows:

1. The photo of the donkey painted with the Israeli flag is old and dates back to 2011 during a demonstration in the village of (Kafr Qaddum) in the West Bank, in support of the Palestinian bid for UN recognition of their state at that time. This photo was previously archived and published by global agencies responsible for archiving and preserving images with their information.

2. The second photo dates back to 2014 and shows a dead donkey as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza at that time. The locals burned the donkey's carcass to dispose of it.

So, the photos are not recent and do not show Palestinians burning a donkey alive, as claimed.

It should be noted that we previously clarified the truth about one of the photos after it was posted by (Edy Cohen) in 2020.
