Did the artist Mays Gumir express her love for the city of Nasiriyah because of Alaa Al-Rikabi?

A post circulated on social media with the text, "Mays Gumir loved Nasiriyah through a Tishreeni person named Alaa Al-Rikabi."

The Truth

The attached claim is not true, as the Iraqi artist (Mays Gumir) did not make a similar statement on her social media accounts or through any official appearance.

We also contacted (Gumir) and she denied the statement attributed to her, commenting:

"The news is not true, I love my country in itself without needing any person as a bridge to love it."

She also shared a post on her account on June 27th, in which she stated, "Every now and then, we are surprised by strange and astonishing posts from some people, and every now and then, we see some people mastering the art of insulting others. Today, I am surprised by this post, and I don't know the mentioned person. All respect to everyone."
