The truth about the story of the lion Simba, who was killed by six lionesses in Ghana

Pictures were circulated on social media, captioned: "This morning the world's most famous lion, Simba, was killed in Africano Park, Ghana. After six lionesses ambushed him while he was going to mate with a new lioness in the park, she participated in deceiving him and luring him for revenge after he exposed his multiple relations with the rest of the garden lionesses."

The truth:

To gain interaction and comments, some pages deliberately change the truth of some posts, as the attached photos are old. A Japanese Twitter account had previously posted them under the name (miyamarutoku) with other photos on March 19, 2019, attached with the title "Tama Zoo on March 19, 2019 Lions in Trouble".

On April 3, 2019, the account attached pictures of the lion to the same tweet, commenting on it, "The lion jumps safely. Filmed on April 3."

In other words, the pictures are old, and the lion was not killed by lionesses and does not belong to Ghana, as was claimed.

In a related context, a cub was born and named (Simba) in the Singapore Zoo, the first African cub to be born through artificial insemination, in 2021.
