What is the truth about a monument's circulated image with the title of a new lion in Diwaniyah?

A picture of a monument circulated on social media platforms accompanied by a text that reads: "A new lion in Diwaniyah."

The clarification:

The circulated image of the monument is old, it was circulated ironically in 2020, and it belongs to a monument erected in Najaf Governorate, as several news had previously circulated about it on social media platforms stating that it cost the Najaf Municipality 79 million Iraqi dinars. What prompted (the municipality of Najaf) to come out with a statement at the time, and the Iraqi News Agency indicated that:

"Two monuments were installed in the street gardens. The cost of one of them, along with all its requirements of concrete casting, dyeing, and lighting, is two million Iraqi dinars, as the price of the lion model alone is five hundred thousand dinars only."

The director of Najaf Municipality (Laith Al-Abedi) spoke at the time in a statement to (NAS News), stressing that:

"The monument, located at the entrance to Al-Hizam Street, was equipped with several materials, including (soil - grass - determinants), as well as (the base) of the monument, and the lion in general, which is made of (fiber class)."

As we have previously clarified, a document that was circulated in 2020, as issued by the municipality of Najaf, in which the cost of the monument is mentioned. However, after our team scrutinized the document, it became clear that it was modified and the original is related to (the modern Najaf massacre).
