Was Mohamed Salah's latest video regarding the events in Palestine created by artificial intelligence (AI)?

A piece of news circulated on social media platforms claiming that: "Mohammed Salah's video is AI-generated."

The truth

The claim is not accurate. The video shared by Liverpool FC player Mohammed Salah on his personal social media accounts regarding the events in Palestine is real, and it is not generated by artificial intelligence.

This conclusion was reached through the following observations:

1- The movement of the eyes is not static, and it's possible to notice occasional shifts towards the camera, similar to reading spoken text.

2- Adam's apple in Salah's throat moves naturally in sync with his speech.

3- The shadow's movement is variable and not constant in the area of the neck, forehead, and left side of Salah's face.

In addition to these observations, the video clip was analyzed using the platform (deepware.ai), which specializes in examining video clips and detecting those that have been manipulated or created using artificial intelligence. The search results confirmed that the clip does not contain deepfake elements.

We also took an image from the video clip that Salah shared and checked it using the InVID tool, which provides many options through which one can know whether a particular image has been tampered with or not, as the tool showed that there is no fabrication in the images.

This claim comes after the Liverpool star was criticized for remaining silent for several days about the events facing Gaza prior to publishing a video clip in which he called for an end to the massacres and to support Gaza with aid.
