What is the truth about the post circulating that it shows Iraqi resistance leaders expressing their solidarity with Gaza?

Two photos were circulated on social media platforms captioned: “Iraqi leaders express their solidarity with the Palestinian resistance. Each one expresses according to his cover.”

The truth:

The circulated post is misleading and inaccurate. Despite the support for the Palestinian cause by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and the Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq (Qais al-Khazali), the two photos are old. The photo of al-Khazali is from an earlier time, previously circulated in 2017, and it dates back to a visit al-Khazali took along the southern Lebanese border. Additionally, a video clip was circulated at the time, showing al-Khazali during that visit at the Fatima Gate in the town of Kafr Kila on the southern border of Lebanon.

Regarding the photo of (Al-Sadr), it is also old, as it was taken from an old video clip dating back to 2014 while he was reading the prayer “Dua Ahl ath-Thugur”.
