Does the video show the last missile attack against Erbil?
A video was circulated on social media captioned: "Breaking news: the C-RAM of US consulate in Erbil are trying to repel the rockets, but it fails"
Clarification
The video is old and was first posted in 2022 when the US embassy in Baghdad was attacked by rockets, and the video shows the American C-RAM while repelling the attack.
This post comes after the attack against many sites in Erbil by ballistic missiles, which caused many victims of martyrs and injuries. The President of KRG (Masrour Barzani) called the Central Government to take quick legal action for the violence against Erbil.
From his side, the IRGC claimed the attack, claiming that they had destroyed spying offices and a gathering of terrorists against Iran as they claim.
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated:
The Government of the Republic of Iraq considers this behavior an aggression against the sovereignty of Iraq and the security of the Iraqi people
Confirming that the Prime Minister decided to:
form a committee headed by the National Security Advisor to investigate the attack and collect information to support the Government’s position internationally and provide accurate evidence and information. The results of the investigation will be announced to inform Iraqi and international public opinion of the facts and prove the falseness of the claims of the parties behind these condemnable acts.
