A page in the name of (Abdul-Latif Rashid) posted the following news: "Breaking, Republican Decree; No. 2, a salary for every Iraqi citizen of 300,000 dinars per month".
The Truth
The page that shared the news is sarcastic, impersonating the President of the Iraqi Republic (Abdul-Latif Rashid), and we previously clarified that the name of the page was changed from (I am Kurdish) to (Abdul Latif Rashid).
Concerning the decision to allocate a monthly salary to every Iraqi citizen, it is incorrect, and no government statement has been issued in this regard.
It is worth noting that several Facebook pages changed their approach by impersonating the President of the Republic (Abdul Latif) or impersonating the person in charge of forming the government (Mohamed Shiaa Al-Sudani). We detected several cases, including through the (Shiftak Samir) segment, where we note the pages that take advantage of the election period or change of positions to mislead people.
