What is the truth about Trump's appearance after the assassination attempt while he was greeting the Saudi people?
Circulated on social media a video clip attached with a text stating "Trump after the assassination incident greeting the Saudi people and saying I love Saudi Arabia".
The truth
The attached claim is misleading, as the video is old and dates back to 2023, not after an assassination attempt on the former US President (Donald Trump).
In the circulated video, Trump said during his attendance at the Aramco Championship in the state of Florida, USA, "We love Saudi Arabia," and continued by stating that the King and Crown Prince are his friends, expressing his happiness with the Saudis' presence at the championship.
Moreover, there has been previous cooperation between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and an investment fund established by (Jared Kushner), Trump's son-in-law. The Saudi fund also placed one billion US dollars in a company managed by (Steven Mnuchin), who served as Trump's Treasury Secretary.
It is noted that Trump's first appearance after the assassination attempt was on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Republican National Convention, which was held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he appeared with a bandage on his right ear.
This post is circulating after (Trump), the current US presidential candidate, was subjected to a failed assassination attempt on Saturday, July 13, during an election rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, USA. A person fired shots at Trump, causing an injury to his right ear.
