The news about the death of Sayyid Hadi al-Modarresi is false, as the official page of Sayyid Hadi al-Modarresi on Facebook denied what was circulated on social media platforms, stressing that he is fine and in good health.
All that happened is due to a similarity in the names between Sayyid Hadi al-Modarresi and another person called Sayyid Hadi Sayyid Hussain al-Modarresi, who died yesterday.
This is not the first time that the rumor of the death of Sayyid Hadi al-Modarresi has been circulated, as news spread last year, which was the death of Sayyid Hadi due to being infected with the Coronavirus. The office of al-Modarresi denied this news.
Who is Sayyid Hadi al-Modarresi?
He is an Iraqi Shiite religious scholar, born in 1376 AH / 1957 AD. He hails from two families that were famous for their knowledge and virtue. In terms of the father's side; His father, Sayyid Mohammed Kadhim Al-Modarresi, was one of the senior scholars in the Hawza in Mashhad and the Iraqi city of Karbala.
