Has the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs launched an emergency grant for the unemployed?

A page that uses the name of the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and several pages on Facebook social media platforms published the following news: “The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for the unemployed has launched an emergency grant for those who do not have salaries from any governmental side, whether Iraqi or regional. Those who are included in the following grant, the unemployed who do not have salaries or a source of livelihood, the ages of those included in the grant, are from 2007 to 1977, everyone included in the grant is allowed to register for the grant. The method of registration is via a link.”

The truth:

1- The news of launching an emergency grant by the Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs for the unemployed is incorrect.

The ministry has not announced this matter, which was also not addressed through local news websites.

2- The page that published the advertisement is fake, and the original page of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is verified with the blue badge.

Therefore, it is necessary to check first the official platforms of the ministry, whether they announced the provision of grants or not.

3- The link attached to the publication has been checked with the “VirusTotal” web. It was found that it poses a threat and is not secure, so beware of suspicious files and links that are placed with these types of news because they pose a threat to users’ information and the possibility of seizing their accounts.

From time to time, social media platforms circulate this news with forms or fake harmful links.

Therefore, always rely on the forms announced by the official platforms of the Ministry only.
