A Facebook page named (Zaid Al-Malak) published a post that was circulated on social media with the following text: "With hearts believing in God's will and destiny, my late grandfather (Hajj Qasim Al-Malak) has passed away. To God we belong and to Him we shall return. O Allah, grant patience and solace to his family, and I ask Allah to admit him to His spacious havens. Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return."

The account that published the news is fake, impersonating (Zaid Ali Al-Malak), the grandson of the artist (Qasim Al-Malak). It is clear when reviewing the page's (Transparency) option that it was created on June 29, 2024, under the name (Niswiyat), then changed to (Zaid Al-Malak) on the same day to deceive followers

As for the news of Qasim Al-Malak's death, it is fake. Zaid Al-Malak did not announce any such news about his grandfather's death through his official Instagram account, nor did the Iraqi Artists Syndicate announce such news.

For his part, the head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate (Jabbar Judy), after being contacted, denied the truth of Al-Malak's death.
