What is the truth behind the Husseini banner that says, “Even if God comes, we will not leave Al-Hussein”?
A photo was circulated on social media claiming to be a banner of a Husseini procession bearing the phrase "Even if God comes, we will not leave Al-Hussein."
The truth
The circulated photo is fabricated, as the original photo, which lacks the phrase, was modified by adding the fake phrase, as it is possible to notice the difference in the font used in the banner when writing the phrases.
We also found photos of the same banner that were published in previous years, which show that it lacks the circulated phrase.
It is worth noting that the original photo is old and was published by an account named (zaid506) on the (flickr) website, and it was explained that it was taken in the city of Karbala on December 26, 2009.
We have previously clarified the truth of the photo in 2016-2018.
Is a Husseini tradition or ritual in which the head is struck with a sword, dagger, or any sharp instrument, the aim of which - according to some - is to console Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, for his affliction in the Karbala incident.
Clerics differ on the legitimacy of Tatbir, some of them see it as permissible or desirable, and others as an innovation or disliked.
