Did the ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah (Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi) decided to add (Ali Wali Allah) to Azan?
A piece of news was circulated on social media: "The ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah (Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi) decided to add (Ali Wali Allah) to Azan, and forbid any Israeli to enter Sharjah"
The Truth
The attached claim is FALSE. No recent official decision was issued by The ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah (Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi) to add the phrase (Ali Wali Allah) to Azan, or forbid any Israeli to enter Sharjah as claimed. Also, no news website posted such a piece of news.
Also, when we reviewed videos of prayers in Sharjah, we affirmed that there are mosques that does not mention (Ali Wali Allah) with Azan.
It's worth noting that there are Mosques and Hussainiyat in Sharjah that conduct Husseini rituals.
A video attached to the circulating news shows the Azan of a mosque in which the phrase "Ali Wali Allah" is mentioned, but in fact, the mosque is (al-Shuhada' mosque) in the Emirate of Sharjah and is affiliated with Al-Waqf Ja'afari Authority in the emirate.
